Do you think Paul's thorn in the flesh was a brain tumor?
It's been conjectured that the Apostle Shaul's (Paul's) thorn in the flesh was glaucoma. Having the dreaded disease in my own eyes at the age of 33, I can understand the feeling of thorns and have implored the LORD many times to take the pain from me. Thank G-d for my xalatan drops or I probably wouldn't be writing this now. Glaucoma can cause blindness. Shaul’s failing eyesight may explain why, in at least one letter, he wrote “in large letters” (Galatians 6:11). The “large letters” may point to myopia--near sightedness.
