Ipod 4th generation went through the wash...help?

ok so basically i have the new ipod chromatic and i left it in my pants pocket which went into the wash...it only went into the wash not the dryer. It doesnt respond in any way and has been drying for about a day now. i tried plugging it in once it looked dried after a day and it didnt do anything on the com. or ipod. if anyone knows a way to fix it pleeeaae help. and dont bother posting too bad or tht im stupid or that its a goner..thxs=]
