Is the government blocking out the names of some countries from some of the media?
Okay, I know how ridiculous this sounds. I'm not much of a conspiracy theorist myself, but I purchased Iron Man 2 on demand this weekend, and all references to Russia and either Serbia or Siberia were bleeped out of the movie. I discovered it because I put on subtitles. I have a thing about knowing word for word exactly what they say in the movies. Okay, just a coincidence, right? To most, it would be weird, but not enough to provoke too much thought. I called my cable company to see if they could give me an explanation, but also just as much in hopes that they'd refund the cost of the movie. No luck! They ured me there's no conspiracy, and that they have nothing to do with what is available on the demand channels. But then tonight, I was watching a doentary about a jellyfish problem in Japan, and the word China was blurred out on a map they showed. What the hell is going on. I don't do any drugs, I very rarely drink, and I know I'm not crazy. I know the U.S. doesn't have the best relations with these countries at the moment. Should I expect something to go down in the near future? I know I'm not the only one thinking this. Anyone else have a similar experience? Please let me know if I gotta strap up in the name of the country I love!
