Has the Vatican "abandoned" Mary's directive at Fatima?

What do you think? I heard this the other day and don't know enough about Fatima to form an opinion. Maybe one of the many super smart and helpful Yahoo Answers participants can shed some light on this. Why would someone levy this complaint? Based on what? What details?
